Nakimu Caves
This cave network is the third largest in the country. More than 5.9 km (3.7 mi) of tunnels await eager cavers. Guided tours are offered in the Glacier National Park taking visitors into an ancient labyrinth complete with soda straws, rock fluting and moon milk. To gain entrance to the caves without a guide, registration at the park office needs to be performed. Visitors are reminded to prepare for a strenuous hike up the mountain to the location of the caves. |
